The idea behind establishing the Foundation stemmed from the conviction of its founder, His Eminence Sheikh Ahmed bin Hamad Al Khalili, of the importance of creating an endowment initiative in which the wider community can participate. The Foundation supports and develops selected educational, da‘wah, and humanitarian causes through the investment of endowment assets and the allocation of proceeds to their intended purposes, guided by its core values: Trust (Amanah), Excellence (Itqan), and Achievement (Injaz). The Foundation pursues these objectives as a national duty and as part of strengthening integration between society and government institutions.
