The Royal Mosques Endowments aim to invest and grow endowment assets in ways that support the maintenance and sustainability of Royal grand mosques and mosques across the Sultanate of Oman. These endowments work to generate surplus cash reserves to address emergency expenditures or to be reinvested in other Sharia-compliant projects. The asset base includes diversified holdings such as multi-use land, real estate properties, and financial investments. The endowment framework is built on preserving the principal while maximizing returns, with proceeds allocated to designated beneficiaries in accordance with waqf objectives. These endowments operate under the Sultan Qaboos Higher Centre for Culture and Science, affiliated with the Diwan of Royal Court Affairs.
